Ashton Farms

Over the last 20 years, Ashtons Farms Custom Meats, located in Fillmore, UT and Delta, UT, has evolved from a small custom- exempt processing facility to a federally inspected plant with several specialized functions that set us apart. We have built a reputation for a quality product while expanding to meet the needs of our customers. Ashtons business is a family operation. Niel and Belinda Ashton run with their four children. Three of them work full-time in the family business and one helps when his full-time job permits.
We went through the process to become legal to be custom- exempt. Custom- Exempt certifications allows ranchers and farmers to bring their beef to us to harvest, but they can't resell it. As our business as a custom- exempt plant grew, we went through the process of becoming state certified. With State certification, we can process beef, pork, lamb and sell it in Utah. We operated under that model for 10 years.
As request for Federal inspection increased, we went through the process necessary to obtain federal certification. We have been federally inspected for over a decade. We are one of the few federal plants in Southern Utah, making services very valuable for livestock producers that want to sell direct to consumers outside of the state.
Another area that sets Ashtons apart is Elk processing. We are the only plant in Utah that kills elk under inspection. Ashtons does a lot of processing for local ranchers, including raising and processing their own grass-fed-beef.
